Culinary training or certification in Chinese cuisine.
Experience working in a Chinese restaurant.
Food Preparation and Cooking:
Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, specializing in wok-based cooking techniques, such as stir-frying, deep-frying, steaming, and braising.
Ensure all dishes are cooked to order, maintaining taste, consistency, and presentation.
Follow the recipes and portion sizes for each dish, ensuring proper ingredients are used.
Kitchen Organization and Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, especially around the wok station.
Ensure all cooking utensils, equipment, and the wok are properly cleaned and maintained.
Keep work area sanitized, adhering to health and safety standards.
Inventory Management:
Assist in managing ingredients and supplies required for wok cooking.
Ensure proper storage of food items and report low stock levels to the kitchen manager.
Collaboration with Team:
Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely dish preparation.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and waitstaff to ensure customer orders are completed and delivered promptly.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure all meals are prepared according to customer preferences and dietary requirements.
Address any complaints or special requests from customers regarding food preparation.
Adherence to Safety Regulations:
Follow food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Ensure kitchen equipment, particularly the wok, is used safely and correctly.
