Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Officer is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the housekeeping department. This includes maintaining records, coordinating room assignments, handling guest requests, and ensuring smooth communication between housekeeping staff and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain housekeeping records, including room status reports, lost & found items, and inventory logs.
- Update and track housekeeping schedules and staff assignments.
- Prepare reports for housekeeping management, such as occupancy and cleaning status reports.
- Ensure that supplies and linen inventory are well-stocked and properly recorded.
Coordination & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance teams.
- Handle guest requests related to housekeeping services, such as additional amenities, extra linens, or room cleaning requests.
- Relay messages to housekeeping staff regarding urgent cleaning tasks or maintenance issues.
- Monitor housekeeping staff attendance and coordinate work assignments accordingly.
Guest Service Support:
- Assist with lost & found inquiries and maintain accurate records.
- Address and escalate housekeeping-related guest complaints promptly.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are upheld to maintain guest satisfaction.
Other Duties:
- Assist with training new housekeeping employees on administrative procedures.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and responding to emails.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the housekeeping department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
