1. Education:?High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in bartending preferred.
2. Experience:?Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
3. Skills:
?Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
?Strong multitasking abilities and the capability to work under pressure.
?Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and bar equipment.
?Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.
1. Beverage Preparation:
?Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and customer specifications.
?Create signature cocktails and recommend drink pairings based on customer preferences.
2. Customer Service:
?Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
?Take drink and food orders accurately and efficiently.
?Engage with guests to create a memorable experience, addressing any concerns or questions.
3. Bar Maintenance:
?Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are stocked.
Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment regularly.
?Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
?Ensure compliance with all state and local laws regarding alcohol service, including checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
?Follow all health and safety regulations in food and beverage handling.
5. Team Collaboration:
?Work collaboratively with wait staff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
?Assist in training new bartenders and staff as needed.
6. Financial Transactions:
?Handle cash and process credit card payments accurately, providing change and receipts to customers.
?Keep track of tabs for guests when necessary.
