1. Guest Reception:
?Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing them with timely and friendly service.
?Ensure that the dining area is clean, organized, and visually appealing before and during service.
2. Seating Management:
?Manage reservations through the reservation system and ensure seating is organized based on guest flow and staffing.
?Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and informing them of any daily specials.
3. Communication:
?Communicate effectively with the waitstaff and kitchen to ensure that the dining experience runs smoothly.
?Notify the kitchen staff of any special requests or issues regarding guests' needs.
4. Waitlist Management:
?Manage and prioritize waitlists during peak dining hours, providing estimated wait times to guests.
?Monitor guest flow and make adjustments as needed to optimize service efficiency.
5. Customer Service:
?Attend to guests' needs, answering any questions regarding the menu, daily specials, and restaurant policies.
?Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and ensure they are resolved to their satisfaction.
6. Cleaning and Organization:
?Maintain cleanliness in the hostess area, including menus, entryway, and waiting areas.
?Ensure that tables are prepared for incoming guests and that dining items (silverware, glassware, etc.) are ready and properly placed.
7.Team Collaboration:
?Collaborate with server and bus staff to ensure timely service and assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed.
?Assist in training new hostesses and staff, providing guidance on processes and standards.
