? Minimum of one years of IT experience with similar responsibilities
? Bachelor?s degree preferred
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and management
? Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
? Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office, Windows XP/7/10, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
? Familiar with network security and encryption, including PCI DSS standards
? Experience with Micros, Opera, and other hotel related applications a plus
? Hands on experience on AD and Exchange
? Hands on experience on basic Networking using network components Desirable
? Experience with general networking and IP telephony is a plus
? Related IT certifications is a plus

? Ensure that all users are provided with the necessary support during their day to day activities to enhance productivity
? Respond to guest and colleagues queries in a friendly and efficient manner to ensure user satisfaction
? Maintain all hotel data in accordance with Carlson?s Information security standards
? Monitor the performance of Networks, Servers, Workstations and peripherals and informs the IT Manager of any abnormalities to ensure that high performance standards are maintained
? Keep up to date with IT knowledge and trends to enable continuous improvement to the services offered to users
? Ensure standards are maintained and well communicated to colleagues to maximise efficiency
? Create user accounts and allocate necessary access to enable users to access appropriate folders and sites
? Ensure that all requests to the IT Department are logged in the defined manner to ensure accurate records are kept and analyse recurring themes
? Maintains hotel user accounts in Opera, Connect, Carlson Learning Network, and other hotel applications
? Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management


Maintains availability and security of networks throughout the hotel
? Monitors wireless network for hotel guests and employees
? Keeps networks compliant with corporate guidelines
? Maintains network security

Stays current on technical updates and changes to hotel utilized applications
? Attends training and certification updates to hotel applications
? Reviews updates provided by software and hardware vendors
? Relays important information and timing of new releases, system repairs, and downtime

Establishes and maintains IT vendor relationships
? Work with venders to troubleshoot and resolve issues
? Periodically submit requests for proposals (RFP) to new and existing vendors for IT-related supplies and services

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! Experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
? Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service
? Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
? Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
? Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
? Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behaviour and genuine hospitality

Adheres to hotel policies and procedures
? Keep IT Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
? Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
? Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment
? At all times projects a favourable image of the Hotel to the public
? Abide by all Brand rules and regulations
? Adhere to all Brand policies and procedures
? Actively support and promote Workplace Health and Safety within the work environment
? Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by the IT Manager or his/her designate
