1. Bachelor Degree in related field
2. Minimum 3 ? 5 years in similar position in international hotels
3. Strong administrative skills, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills
4. Ability to develop effective motivational strategies
5. Basic in English and computer literate
6. Good health, mature and pleasant personality and neat appearance
1. To coordinate and liaise banquet function between the guest and the hotel personal to ensure a successful event.
2. To perform any other duties set by hotel policies, management or his/her direct supervisor which are not included here above.
3. To record as accurately as possible all information given by the guest on a function sheet and prepare event order.
4. To follow up details with various departments or outlet concerned on action plan as guest requested to fulfill the event order and issue at least 3 working days before function started except urgent functions.
5. To inform Banquet Manager or his assistant and all concerned departments for all special requests or changes concerning a function and issue the adjustment sheet.
6. To maintain a proper record and filing system: reservation, follow up files, record of past events for forecast purposes.
7. To check daily all boards and directional signs pertaining of banquet and conferences.
8. To ensure the proper billing of every functions.
9. To attend banquet briefing and weekly meeting as required.
10. To call each organizer 48 hours prior to function to finalize the guest guaranteed and any additional requirements.
11. To check all details required as per function sheet: room set up, wording lettering, 30 minutes prior to the beginning of each function.
12. Have knowledge of food and beverage.
13. Cooperate with outside agency which requested by customer and inform the agency about hotel policy.
14. Know every detail concerning with F&B outlets which might be used.
15. Have knowledge of the names, capacity, etc. of every function rooms.
16. Must know the banquet equipment available in the hotel as well as the AV equipments.
17. Know the set up of table setting, used of cutlery, etc.
18. To work with Chief artist to ensure that all props are as required by the organizers.
19. To follow up on any function cancellation and report accordingly.
20. Know the detail/concept of each function and set up/decorate to suit the function requirement.
21. Know the selling prices of food and beverage.
22. Give advice to the customer on the entertainment.
23. Knowledge of hygiene and safety systems within the hotel.
24. Consult with Event Mgr / Banquet Manager/Assistant on the occurred problems.
