Captain Waiter ? Villa Frantz?n

Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Reports to: Restaurant Manager / Head Sommelier

Job Overview:

Villa Frantz?n is seeking a dedicated and experienced Captain Waiter to lead service operations with precision, elegance, and a deep understanding of hospitality. The Captain Waiter will act as a key liaison between guests and the restaurant team, ensuring seamless service, a refined guest experience, and efficient coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Service Excellence:
? Deliver a world-class dining experience in line with Villa Frantz?n?s service standards.
? Provide detailed menu and beverage knowledge, confidently guiding guests through the experience.
? Take orders accurately and oversee their timely execution, ensuring all guest preferences and dietary requirements are met.
? Maintain a polished and professional demeanor, anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.

Team Leadership & Coordination:
? Supervise and support wait staff, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to SOPs.
? Act as a mentor to junior team members, offering training and guidance on service techniques, menu knowledge, and wine pairings.
? Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure precision in food and drink service.

Operational Excellence:
? Oversee table settings, ensuring an impeccable mise en place before each service.
? Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures, ensuring all areas are ready for service.
? Monitor and manage reservations, guest preferences, and special requests.
? Handle guest feedback with professionalism, resolving any issues promptly.

Wine & Beverage Service:
? Work closely with the sommelier team to recommend wine pairings and enhance the dining experience.
? Maintain an understanding of Villa Frantz?n?s beverage program, including wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic pairings.

Requirements:
? Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a fine dining or Michelin-level restaurant.
? Strong knowledge of Nordic cuisine and fine dining service standards is a plus.
? Passion for hospitality with a keen eye for detail and a guest-first mentality.
? Excellent communication skills in English (Thai language proficiency is a plus).
? Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining grace under pressure.
? Strong leadership skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
