Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Optimization:
Pricing Strategy:
- Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies across all segments (corporate, leisure, MICE, etc.) to maximize RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room).
- Continuously monitor competitor pricing and market conditions to adjust rates accordingly.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee room inventory control, ensuring optimal availability and pricing across all distribution channels.
- Collaborate with front office and reservations teams to balance demand and prevent overbooking or underutilization.
Forecasting & Budgeting:
- Conduct demand forecasting based on historical data, market trends, and seasonal fluctuations.
Assist in preparing revenue budgets and financial forecasts in alignment with business goals.
Market Analysis & Strategy Development:
Competitor Benchmarking:
- Monitor and analyze competitor pricing, promotions, and positioning to identify opportunities and threats.
- Utilize benchmarking tools (e.g., STR reports) to assess market performance.
Distribution Channel Management:
- Maximize revenue across online and offline channels, including OTAs, direct bookings, GDS, and third-party platforms.
- Ensure rate parity across all channels and optimize commissions with OTA partners.
Business Mix Optimization:
- Analyze guest booking patterns to optimize the mix of transient, group, and contracted business.
- Work with sales teams to target profitable segments and reduce reliance on lower-margin bookings.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Performance Tracking:
- Track and report on key revenue metrics such as ADR (Average Daily Rate), RevPAR, occupancy, and GOPPAR (Gross Operating Profit Per Available Room).
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to the executive team.
Revenue Management Systems (RMS):
- Utilize RMS and other analytical tools to drive data-driven decisions and automate pricing strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest revenue management technologies and trends.
Revenue Meetings:
Lead revenue meetings with stakeholders to discuss performance insights and action plans.
Collaborate with sales and marketing to align strategies and achieve common goals.
