- Bachelor?s degree in hospitality management or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment, with exposure to MICE operations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Proficient in hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in ensuring efficient and smooth operations of the front desk, concierge, and guest services team. The role is integral in delivering exceptional guest experiences while focusing on the unique demands of a MICE-focused property, ensuring seamless service for individual guests and group events.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
Oversee daily front office operations, including check-ins, check-outs, room allocations, and guest inquiries.
Ensure a warm and professional welcome for all guests, with special attention to MICE group arrivals and VIPs.
Handle guest complaints and issues promptly, escalating as necessary to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Training:
Lead, train, and mentor the front office team to maintain high service standards.
Schedule and assign daily tasks, ensuring sufficient coverage during peak times and events.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
MICE Coordination:
Collaborate with the events and sales teams to ensure smooth coordination of group bookings, meeting room arrangements, and special requests.
Monitor the flow of guests and events, proactively managing any logistical challenges.
Operational Excellence:
Assist in developing and implementing front office policies and procedures.
Ensure accurate billing and proper communication with other departments for special billing arrangements.
Oversee the maintenance of front desk equipment and lobby areas.
Revenue & Financial Accountability:
Support in optimizing room revenue through effective inventory management and upselling techniques.
Monitor and report key performance metrics, such as occupancy rates and guest satisfaction scores.
Communication & Collaboration:
Act as the liaison between the front office and other departments to ensure guest needs are met.
Attend department meetings and provide input on operational improvements.
