Job Description: Guest Service Supervisor
Job Summary:
A Guest Service Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the front desk and guest services team, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient operations. This role involves managing staff, resolving guest issues, and maintaining high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Recruit, hire, and train new team members.
Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
Resolve employee issues and concerns in a timely manner.
Guest Services:
Oversee check-in and check-out procedures.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests.
Resolve guest issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
Ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Operations Management:
Monitor daily operations to ensure smooth running.
Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records and reports.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Sales and Marketing:
Assist with sales and marketing initiatives, such as upselling and cross-selling.
Promote loyalty programs and special offers.
Financial Management:
Monitor and control expenses, such as labor costs and supplies.
Ensure accurate cash handling and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a supervisory role
Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures
Proficiency in computer systems, including property management systems
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
