Commis

- Culinary education or relevant culinary certification is preferred.

- Previous experience as a kitchen Commis or in a similar entry level culinary role is a plus.

- Passion for food and strong desire to learn and develop culinary skills.

- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

- Strong teamwork and commitment skills.

- Willingness to work flexibly hours, including evenings and weekends.

- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for daily and special events. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines under the supervision of senior staff. Maintain a clean and organized workplace including proper storage of ingredients.

-Execute basic cooking techniques such as sauteing, grilling and roasting to prepare dishes. Plate and present dishes in an attractive and visually appealing manner ensuring consistency and attention to detail

- Assist in ensuring that all dishes meet the established standards of taste, quality, and presentation. Notify senior kitchen staff of any discrepancies or quality issues.

- Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. Handle kitchen equipment and utensils with care following safety protocols.
