Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a bartender
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a bar or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktails, wines, and beers.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards related to bar operations.
- Proficient in bar management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Can comunicate in English
Job Summary:
The Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring a high level of service, managing bar staff, maintaining inventory, and creating an exceptional guest experience. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for mixology, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Supervise and support bartenders, bar backs, and other bar staff. Provide training, guidance, and feedback to ensure a high standard of service.
- Customer Service: Ensure guests receive excellent service. Address customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally to maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Bar Operations: Oversee bar setup and breakdown, ensuring that the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
- Training and Development: Train staff on drink preparation, service standards, and health and safety protocols. Conduct regular refreshers and updates on new products or techniques.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and controlling bar supplies. --- Conduct regular stock checks to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the bar complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and guests.
- Sales and Cost Control: Assist in driving bar sales through upselling techniques and promotions. Monitor and manage costs, including waste control and portion management.
- Scheduling: Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
- Event Coordination: Work with the restaurant team to plan and execute bar-related aspects of special events, private parties, and promotions.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of drink quality, presentation, and consistency. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure food and drink pairings meet guest expectations.
