- Responsible for coordinating overall activities in the Housekeeping Department to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity as required by the hotel.
- Responsible for an entire operation in the Housekeeping Department and foreseeing equipment needs in various sections within Department.
- Supervising and delegating duties to all managerial staff within the department and preparing their work schedules.
- Conforming and enforcing policies, procedures, rules and regulations set out by the hotel to achieve uniformity and to satisfy the required minimum standards level.
- Preparing weekly staffing schedules, monitoring staff attendance and carry out manpower planning to meet related activities in the hotel and to maintain cost effectiveness.
- Maintaining accurate and proper inventory of all stocks, guest supplies, linens etc. to prevent pilferage or losses of any nature.
- Ensuring that a control and procedures of ?Lost & Found? is properly recorded and items are stored accordingly.
- Preparing related monthly reports and submitting them to the General Manager.
- Accountable for a proper usage of all equipment and their periodical servicing while ensuring efficient working conditions.
- Conducting operation meetings and inspection to review, monitor and improve performance of the department through dissemination of information, explaining new directions, policies and procedures meeting to regards to the department in order to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Establishing a rapport with external contractors servicing the hotel to ensure that standard is achieved.
